Boeing awarded US$487mil contract for US Army Apache helicopters
Contract specifies the provision and engineering and technical support of AH-64 attack helicopters through 6 February 2026
According to Boeing, there are over 1,200 Apache helicopters in operation in the US Army and international defense forces, and collectively have reached more than 4 million flight hours.
The US Department of Defense will declare the specifics of the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, including locations and funding, at a later date.
Earlier in June, Boeing was awarded a US$169.5 million contract to support the full-rate production of lot 12 Apache helicopters.
Apache helicopters are among the most ubiquitous helicopters in service. Peter ten Berg captured a training exercise in the Norwegian Arctic of Chinook, Cougar, and Apache helicopters conducted ‘white-out’ landings.
