Brazil orders 27 H125 helicopters
Brazil has placed an order for 27 single-engine H125 helicopters through its Combat Aircraft Program Coordinating Committee (COPAC) for use in training by the country’s Navy and Air Force
The fleet will be produced at the H125 final assembly line at the Helibras factory in Itajubá, Brazil, where the Brazilian military’s H225M fleet was also assembled.
The new H125s will replace ageing AS350 and Bell 207 fleets currently in service with the Air Force and Navy respectively.
Commander of the Air Force Lieutenant Brigadier Carlos de Almeida Baptista Junior said: “This joint procurement contract represents the realization of a project that will equip both the Brazilian Air Force and Navy with modern aircraft that will meet the needs of the Forces for the next 30 years.”
The new H125 helicopters will have a G500H TXi double glass cockpit, and will be compatible with the use of night vision goggles (NVG). The aircraft will also feature different types of mission equipment such as a winch and a hook.
Spright and Synerjet Corp also signed an agreement in May 2022 to develop drone logistics networks in Brazil to serve the healthcare industry.
