Bridger Aerospace deploys PC-12 to Oklahoma
The seasonal deployment is the earliest ever conducted by Bridger Aerospace in its 10-year history
Aerial firefighting firm Bridger Aerospace has announced the deployment of a Pilatus PC-12 to the US state of Oklahoma, to provide aerial intelligence for early-season wildfires.
The seasonal deployment is the earliest ever conducted by Bridger since the company’s establishment in 2014.
The aircraft is one of two operated by Bridger under a five-year contract with the US Department of the Interior (DOI) and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA).
Bridger stated that the aircraft was stationed in Oklahoma “due to the region’s climate and historical early-season fire activity”. It added: “As fire activity migrates through the season, the aircraft are expected to be relocated by the DOI and BIA to optimize mission effectiveness and maximize support to wildland firefighters.”
Tim Sheehy, CEO of Bridger Aerospace, said: “Team Bridger is always ready to respond when called upon to protect our communities. Our aircrews and ground support teams are a critical part of our nation’s aerial first responder infrastructure, and we are honored to serve Americans from coast to coast.”
Bridger Aerospace previously cancelled a planned $70 million public offering in October 2023, citing “unfavorable market conditions”.
