On 11 February, the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service was tasked to the Dawson Highway to transfer a 54-year-old male through to Rockhampton hospital. The patient had been riding his motorcycle with three other motorcyclists when the lead bike slowed down and the next bike struck the first motorcycle. The patient lost control and came to rest on the side of the road. He was initially treated on scene by the Queensland Ambulance Service for head, neck and suspected spinal injuries before being transported by the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service. The patient was stabilised by the on board Doctor and Critical Care Paramedic before being transferred in a stable condition through to Rockhampton Hospital.
On the same day a few hours later, the Service was tasked to a property vicinity of Mt. Larcom to treat and transport a three-year-old boy suffering seizures. On arrival the patient was stabilised by the on-board Doctor and Critical Care Paramedic before being transferred in a stable condition through to the Rockhampton Hospital.
