A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will see the two companies work to offer crew ‎change and search and rescue (SAR) services in southern Africa

CHC Helicopters has announced the signing of an MoU with Namibia’s Court ‎Helicopters.‎

The agreement outlines the two companies’ intent to form a strategic collaboration, ‎providing SAR and crew change solutions in Namibia.‎

Under the terms of the MoU, CHC would provide access to its global fleet and ‎operational knowledge, and Court Helicopters would offer its established presence in ‎the southern African nation, its own operational capabilities, and its local knowledge.‎

The deal will see the two companies support both offshore and onshore operations, ‎providing personnel transport and emergency response services across the region.‎

Building on this deal, CHC and Court Helicopters will now work together to assess the ‎potential for joint operations, in line with Namibia’s national priorities and regulatory ‎requirements.

‎‎“We are delighted to explore this opportunity with Court Helicopters, whose local ‎knowledge and experience is second to none,” said Sonia LeQuilleuc, Emerging Markets ‎Commercial Director at CHC. “We operate across multiple bases and aircraft types, and ‎are proud to bring that depth of capability and proven track record to Namibia.”‎

Sweden recently announced plans to close two of its SAR air bases.‎
