CHC and Court Helicopters to collaborate in Namibia
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will see the two companies work to offer crew change and search and rescue (SAR) services in southern Africa
CHC Helicopters has announced the signing of an MoU with Namibia’s Court Helicopters.
The agreement outlines the two companies’ intent to form a strategic collaboration, providing SAR and crew change solutions in Namibia.
Under the terms of the MoU, CHC would provide access to its global fleet and operational knowledge, and Court Helicopters would offer its established presence in the southern African nation, its own operational capabilities, and its local knowledge.
The deal will see the two companies support both offshore and onshore operations, providing personnel transport and emergency response services across the region.
Building on this deal, CHC and Court Helicopters will now work together to assess the potential for joint operations, in line with Namibia’s national priorities and regulatory requirements.

Sweden recently announced plans to close two of its SAR air bases.
