Chile’s Carabineros enhance mission capabilities with TrakkaCam TC-300 and Schiebel S-100

The South American police force has integrated Trakka’s advanced critical vision technologies across the AW109, EC135, and H125 helicopters. It is now the first customer in South America to employ the TrakkaCam multi-sensor system on an uncrewed platform.

The Carabineros de Chile aviation unit undertakes various demanding missions such as mountain rescues, medical evacuations, and high-pressure police operations. Installation of the TrakkaCam TC-300 is expected to enhance its situational awareness and enable it to respond more effectively to essential command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) missions.

The TrakkaCam TC-300 is a compact, gyro-stabilized multi-spectral imaging system designed for smaller platforms such as uncrewed aerial systems. It provides high-definition image clarity, an extended operational range, and advanced perceptual tools that enhance decision-making in challenging environments. The TC-300 is a non-International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) product certified to Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) DO-160 environmental standards. It also offers various laser options.

Last year several Japanese police departments purchased five TrakkaCam TC-300 electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) cameras.
