China Flying Dragon General Aviation receives new C909 jet
The medically configured aircraft will be used to deliver medical services such as patient transfers
The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has announced the delivery of its first C909 jet in medical rescue configuration to China Flying Dragon General Aviation.
The delivery was made to the operator on 9 September. COMAC stated that the aircraft would be used by China Flying Dragon for emergency rescue and critical care transfers, among other things.
The aircraft has a standard range of 3,700km, and its cabin can be modified to meet different rescue needs, including transferring patients, providing remote area assistance, and transporting medical teams.
COMAC added: “The delivery of the C909 medical rescue aircraft will provide a new option for improving the domestic air medical support system and enhancing emergency response capabilities.”
The AVIC AG600 firefighting plane received Chinese regulatory approval earlier this year, allowing it to enter regular operation.
