CNC Technologies launches airborne connectivity system for public safety aviation
The new communications platform combines cellular and satellite networks to support real-time video streaming and mission data during airborne operations
CNC Technologies has introduced a new airborne connectivity solution designed to improve communications for public safety aviation operators by combining terrestrial cellular networks with satellite connectivity.
Unveiled during APSCON 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the system integrates LTE, 4G, and 5G cellular networks with Starlink satellite communications using a bonded architecture that automatically selects available connections to maintain reliable data transmission during flight.
The solution has been developed for law enforcement, government, and other public safety aviation operators that rely on uninterrupted communications to support aerial surveillance, search and rescue (SAR), disaster response, and tactical operations. It can be deployed as either a portable system or permanently integrated into an aircraft.

Ron Magocsi, Managing Partner and Chief Technology Officer at CNC Technologies, said the solution “combines bonded cellular technology with Starlink satellite connectivity to provide agencies with the flexibility and resiliency needed to securely deliver mission-critical video and data wherever the mission takes them”.
Resilient communications systems are becoming an increasingly important part of mission equipment, allowing aircraft to share live imagery, coordinate with ground teams, and maintain operational awareness in areas where conventional cellular coverage may be limited.
The latest announcement reflects a broader trend toward hybrid connectivity solutions that combine satellite and terrestrial communications to improve network availability while reducing the risk of signal loss during critical missions.
Elsewhere in the sector, US-based avionics supplier Dallas Avionics recently signed a distribution agreement for the BlueFly detection system, expanding access to drone- and helicopter-mounted technology designed to help SAR teams locate Bluetooth-enabled devices carried by missing persons.
