Coulson Aviation reports firebombing accident
Coulson Aviation has reported that while working in the Snowy Monaro Area in southern New South Wales, Australia, contact was lost with one of the company’s large airtankers, a Lockheed C-130
The aircraft had departed from Richmond, NSW, with a load of retardant on a firebombing mission. The accident is reported to be extensive, and Coulson said it is deeply saddened to confirm that three crewmembers have been fatally injured.
An accident response team has been activated as well as local emergency services, and Coulson Aviation is sending a team to the accident site in order to assist in emergency recovery operations.
