Coulson to support Argentinian firefighting

The company is providing aerial firefighting support via a C$6.8 million government-to-government contract
Under the agreement, one of Coulson’s 10,000-liter capacity CH-47 helitankers was dispatched on a four-month contract, beginning in January 2023, to support wildfire-fighting efforts.
The contract was negotiated between the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) and Argentinian Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MAyDS), and is financed by the country’s National Fire Management Program.
“As a country with almost 362 million hectares of forests, Canada understands the importance of protecting this valuable natural resource and stands ready to share firefighting expertise and technology with Argentina,” said Reid Sirrs, Canadian Ambassador to Argentina.
Coulson Aviation USA previously sold a Boeing 737 Fireliner airtanker to the Argentinean province of Santiago del Estero in May 2022.
