Croatian Canadair returns from combating Turkish wildfires
CL-515 returns to Zemunik air base after six days battling wildfires in the Antalya province
The Croatian Armed Forces’ Canadair CL-515 has safely returned from supporting efforts to quell the Turkish wildfires that are now abating.
The CL-515 performed 82 flights, dropped 438 tonnes of water, and consumed 19,205 litres of fuels during its service, according to a statement from the Croatia Ministry of Defence.

Minister Mario Banožić said: “This mission contributes to the promotion of the Croatian Armed Forces’ reputation and capabilities. Our colleagues in Turkey welcomed us warmly and assisted us throughout firefighting operations. They expressed gratitude to the Croatian people and the Croatian Army for their help.”
