Curtiss-Wright secures contract with Tyonek Aircraft Overhaul
The contract includes a US$7.7 Million agreement to equip US Coast Guard helicopters with combined cockpit voice and flight data recorders
Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions has been awarded a $7.7 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract by Tyonek Aircraft Overhaul, a subsidiary of Tyonek Services Group. The contract includes a one-year base period with four optional years.
As part of the agreement, Curtiss-Wright will supply its Fortress combined cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) systems for the US Coast Guard’s MH-65E Dolphin and MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter fleets. Specifically designed for military fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, Curtiss-Wright will deliver a MIL-STD-1553 interface variant of the Fortress CVR/FDR for this contract.

Earlier this year, Airbus Helicopters signed a new memorandum of understanding with the US Coast Guard to continue supporting the service’s fleet of MH-65 Dolphin helicopters until 2037.
