DART Aerospace fire attack system receives TCCA approval
The belly-mounted fire attack system is designed to fit medium-sized Bell rotorcraft
DART Aerospace has received supplemental type certificate (STC) approval from Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) for its Model 304 Fire Attack System.
The system is designed to fit a range of medium Bell helicopters such as the 205, 212, 412, AB412, and UH-1H.
The Model 304 Fire Attack System features a belly-mounted carbon fiberglass tank with a capacity of 1,420L of water or 114L of foam retardant to support wildfire fighting missions.
The latest upgrades to the system include an improved, stowable hover pump kit, an emergency jettison switch integrated into the primary flight control, and the capability to perform unaided night hover refills.
GPS solutions developer Tabula recently partnered with Helitak Fire Fighting Equipment to integrate their technology and improve wildfire intelligence gathering.
