Alpha Star Aviation Services DBA Alpha Star Air Ambulance in Saudi Arabia has been awarded accreditation from the Global Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS)

Alpha Star becomes the first air ambulance operator in Saudi Arabia to receive this accreditation. The aviation service operates multiple air ambulance aircraft staffed with flight nurses and paramedics to care for adult, neonatal and pediatric patients. Alpha Star is also accredited to provide commercial medical escort services via commercial airlines.

The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems offers worldwide safety standards for fixed-wing air medical operators, ensuring the highest possible patient care, safety and quality in the transport environment. It is voluntary and granted to programs that demonstrate substantial compliance with accreditation standards set forth for medical transportation services by the Commission to demonstrate their ability to deliver high quality services.

Abdullah Al-Shammary, Alpha Star Air Ambulance Program Director, said: “Alpha Star has set the bar at the highest level for air ambulance operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the surrounding GCC countries with regards to patient care, safety and quality for air ambulance operations.”
