Devon Air Ambulance recognised as high-quality employer
Best Companies awarded the air ambulance service a Two Star Accreditation for its work
Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) has been named ‘outstanding’ and has been ranked as the 15th best company to work for in the UK Charity sector.
After a staff feedback survey organised by Best Companies earlier this year, the charity also received a Two Star accreditation.
Key workplace factors mentioned by Best Companies from the survey were:
- 70 per cent of staff agreed with the statement: ‘I am happy with the pay and benefits I receive in this job’
- 79 per cent agreed ‘the experience I gain from this job is valuable for my future’
- 75 per cent agreed they are ‘happy with the balance between my work and home life’.
Kimberly Jones, Head of People, Talent and Culture at DAA, said: “Our staff are critical in ensuring the success of Devon Air Ambulance in providing exemplary time-critical care to patients and taking part in the Best Companies staff survey is one of the ways in which we can gather valuable feedback from our staff. We are incredibly proud of the results.”
DAA CEO Heléna Holt stated: “We strive to make this a great place to work, to value our team and invest in our culture in order to achieve our shared goal of saving lives. We are delighted we have maintained our two-star rating this year with some great improvements in many areas. We have worked through challenging times together, but our teams felt their wellbeing was looked after.”
