DRF Aviation Services launches in Germany
The new provider brings together DRF Group’s maintenance, engineering, and airworthiness capabilities across three sites to support helicopter operators and reduce aircraft downtime
DRF Aviation Services launched on 1 October 2026, combining the technical expertise of German air rescue operator DRF Luftrettung and DRF Maintenance to provide helicopter maintenance and support services to external customers.
Drawing on more than 50 years of experience within the DRF Group, the company offers European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 base and line maintenance, Part 21 Design and Production Organisation services, and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) support. Its portfolio also includes helicopter sales and purchases, production oversight, aircraft transfers, and spare parts.
“With DRF Aviation Services, the combined technical expertise of the DRF Group becomes available to all customers,” said CEO Roman Morka. “The objective behind this is clear: less time on the ground. More time in operation.”
The company operates 18 maintenance docks across three German locations: Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport, Straubing, and Wilhelmshaven. Mobile line maintenance teams can also provide support at customer locations, including for operators in neighbouring European countries.
DRF Aviation Services will showcase its capabilities at European Rotors 2026 in Lyon, France, from 1–3 December.
