Drone-as-first-responder program planned for Fort Worth, Texas
The program will utilize solutions developed by Flock to support the provision of real-time situational awareness to officers on the ground
Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD), in the US state of Texas, has announced plans for a new drone-as-first-responder (DFR) program to enhance its emergency response capabilities.
The program will use digital solutions supplied by Flock to allow the drones to be remotely deployed from their docking stations to provide real-time situational awareness to ground-based personnel.
It is designed to support faster decision-making, improve situational awareness, and enhance response coordination.
Dallas Police Department, also in Texas, recently announced the launch of its own DFR program, implemented in partnership with Dallas Fire-Rescue.
