Dufour Aerospace selects Volz Servos for Aero2 components
The company has selected Volz Servos as its new supplier of electromechanical actuators for its Aero2 tilt-wing drone
Volz will provide Dufour with its DA 26-D and DA 15-T actuators.
It follows a similar announcement last week that Dufour had selected 9T Labs to be the supplier of structural composite connectors for the Aero2 drone.
“For the elevator specifically, Dufour requires full power and control redundancy, which is provided by the Volz DA 26-D unit,” explained Simon Bendrey, Head of Design of Dufour Aerospace.
The deal will support the development of the Aero2 drone as Dufour looks to begin commercial production in 2025.
Felix Thun, Director of Sales and Business Development at Volz Servos, added: “The Dufour Aero2 is a very exciting and promising project with its ingenious combination of helicopter and airplane features. We at Volz are proud to be selected as supplier for this new drone and look forward to working with Dufour in the years to come.”
