EAAA passes a milestone number of patients treated
England’s East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) has announced that it has treated 25,000 patients since its launch in 2000
The charity, which serves the counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk, announced that it had passed the milestone on 17 May.
“Treating 25,000 people in our region since 2000 is a remarkable milestone for the charity to reach and we are both proud and grateful that we have been able to help so many people when they needed us most,” said Matthew Jones, CEO of East Anglian Air Ambulance.
He added: “It has only been possible thanks to incredible support from the individuals, businesses and communities who continue to go above and beyond to fundraise, donate and volunteer to save local lives. Their kindness and impact is extraordinary – and gives every patient treated by EAAA the best possible chance of surviving and recovering [from] a life-threatening emergency.”
EAAA also warned against the risks of laser strikes on aircraft earlier this year.
