EASA certification for Lord’s Tension Torsion Straps
LORD Corporation has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for Tension Torsion (TT) straps
LORD Corporation has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for Tension Torsion (TT) straps, allowing LORD to sell EASA-certified STC parts direct and through authorised distributors in Europe. “LORD is very pleased to offer TT straps directly to the European market, providing our customers in multiple countries the opportunity to enjoy all the savings associated with buying direct, while avoiding the risks and uncertainties that often come with STC parts,” said Rodolphe Leroy, Manager of Global Sales, Business Development and Marketing, LORD Corporation.
LORD Tension Torsion straps are in service on more than 20 different aircraft models. The TT strap, which attaches a helicopter’s rotor blade to the hub, allows blade feathering while reacting to the centrifugal load and accommodates the resultant flapping of the blades. Available for the Bell 206B JetRanger and Bell 206L LongRanger aircraft. TT straps have a three year or 1,200-hour calendar life.
