This news comes one week after two Eurofighter EF-2000s of the Luftwaffe – the German Air Force – collided during a training mission, killing one of the pilots.

The EC-135 helicopter, belonging to the International Helicopter Training Center in Bückeburg, crashed during a training flight about 18 kilometres away from the Center. The two crew members were both lieutenants and qualified helicopter pilots who were training to become flight instructors, the Bundeswehr disclosed.

The General Aviation Safety of the Bundeswehr has been investigating the cause of the crash.
