Emergency Services Show and Emergency Tech Show return to Birmingham
Organizers of the two trade shows have announced that they will be held at the UK’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) on 18–19 September
The Emergency Services Show (ESS) conference will run alongside its sister show the Emergency Tech Show (ETS) – the latter event is now in its second year – and will co-host over 600 exhibitors and over 1,000 brands from across the emergency response sector.
This year’s ESS will feature a new Sustainability Stage, dedicated to “decarbonizing the blue light sector” through initiatives such as greener vehicle fleets, emissions reductions, and a collaborative approach to achieving net zero.
In support of this green focus, the Emergency Services Environment and Sustainability Group – part of the UK’s National Police Estates Group (NPEG) – will be hosting exclusive member meetings on environmental management practices in the sector.
Meanwhile, the ETS has announced a partnership with trade association techUK to run a pavilion focused on “innovative technology solutions from emerging small and medium enterprises (SME) and startups”.
Other new features planned for this year will include the NFCC Future Firefighter PPE Theatre, sponsored by Enduro Project, as well as a People & Skills Stage, provided in partnership with Coventry University’s Simulation Centre.
Registration for both events is now open. Attendees will receive a pass for the duration of the show, as well as complimentary parking at the NEC.
“Staying ahead of the curve is crucial in ensuring effective emergency response,” said David Brown, Event Director of ESS and ETS. “The rate at which technology is transforming the ways our teams respond to and recover from the most serious of situations is truly remarkable. Our events provide a pivotal platform for the entire sector to access cutting-edge solutions and training that enhance multi-agency collaboration and immediate and long-term resilience.”
The UK’s Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust recently acquired a second AW169.
