Entrol finishes simulator that allows training for emergency situations
US-based flight simulation manufacturer Entrol developed a new Bell 505 FTD Level 2 simulator, for the Horizon International Flight Academy
Entrol has finished the development of the Bell 505 FTD Level 2 simulator, which was sold last year to Horizon International Flight Academy. The simulator will allow Horizon Academy to enhance their training by practising emergency situations that cannot be performed in a real helicopter.
Being compliant with CS-FSTD(H) FTD level 2 requirements, they will use it for type rating, IFR checks and initial courses. The simulator will also be offered as FNPT II for flight schools to optimize the costs of their training programs.
Improving pilot training and increasing security
Since 2005, Entrol has developed and manufactured helicopter and fixed-wing Flight and Navigation Procedures Trainer (FNPT) and Flight Training Device (FTD) simulators for flight schools, airlines and operators, in order to improve pilot training, increase security on aircraft operations and reduce operational costs. Entrol simulators are covered by comprehensive after-sales services.
In September, Entrol announced the launch of their first US office in Miami, Florida. After installing FTD simulators for Kaman Aerospace, Conair and Sunny Aviation, opening a sales office in the US was a natural step. “We are very excited about this milestone,” said Luis Olarte, CEO of Entrol. “After 15 years of experience and over 70 simulators installed worldwide, our next challenge is the expansion in the US market.”
