Entrol secures first Brazil simulator certification

Spanish simulator manufacturer Entrol has achieved its first certification in Brazil after the country’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) approved an H145 FTD Level 5 simulator operated by Brazilian flight school Safety Flight.

The certification marks a significant milestone for Entrol, expanding its presence in one of the world’s largest helicopter markets. Installed in early 2024, the customised H145 simulator is designed for internal training, twin-engine transitions, and advanced IFR-H instruction.

Developed to meet Safety Flight’s operational requirements, the simulator includes a tactile vibration system that allows pilots to identify critical aerodynamic states through physical sensation, creating a more immersive training environment for complex mission profiles and regulatory compliance.

The approval also strengthens a partnership between the two companies that began in 2020. Safety Flight previously acquired an EC135-based simulator from Entrol in 2022 before expanding its fleet with the H145 device.

Antonio Gallucci, CEO of Safety Flight, said: “After establishing a partnership with Entrol, which proved to have state-of-the-art equipment, we also verified something even more important: a first-class after-sales service… After a long process with ANAC, we received the homologation of our FTD, which allowed for even more professional training.”

Juanjo Lechosa, Business Development Manager at Entrol, described the ANAC approval as “a cornerstone in our strategy for Brazil”.

Last year, Entrol installed a fourth simulator for Air Corporate.
