EpiGuard names new CEO
EpiGuard, the company which manufactures the EpiShuttle single patient isolation and transport system, has appointed Michael Eimstad as its new CEO
Eimstad previously served as the company’s Vice President for Sales and Marketing since 2019, and as Sales Director between 2018 and 2019.
During his time leading the company’s sales team, EpiGuard has expanded its operations significantly worldwide, with EpiShuttles now being used by the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as first responders in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Norway and Peru. The militaries of Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Norway and the UK, among others, have also purchased EpiShuttles.
As CEO, Eimstad will continue to oversee the company’s continued expansion in sales of the EpiShuttle, as well as its recently launched e-learning platform, EpiTraining.
Chairman of EpiGuard, Halvor Vislie said: “The market for transport of contagious patients is maturing as customers gain a more thorough understanding of the importance of building and maintaining a solid national and international preparedness in this field. As industry leaders, the EpiGuard team has worked deliberately to evolve the market from fast-tracked small orders, placed to mitigate acute situations, to strategic purchases to build systematic readiness across the health care sector. Michael has been instrumental in this effort, and with our strategy now bearing fruit he is the natural choice as the company´s new CEO.”
In response to the appointment, Eimstad said: “It is an honor to take EpiGuard into its next chapter of expansion. Never before have our potential customers known more about isolation and transport. And, never before have decision makers been more aware of the need to prepare for pandemics. We have an unbeatable team of skilled co-workers ready to take on our task of making transport safe for healthcare professionals, patients, and society at large.
