Essex & Herts Air Ambulance welcomes new CEO, Mark Jarman-Howe

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) has appointed Mark Jarman-Howe as its new Chief Executive Officer. He joins from St Helena Hospice in Colchester, where he has served as Chief Executive since 2013.

With more than a decade of leadership experience in end-of-life care, Jarman-Howe now moves from supporting patients in their final stages of life to leading a service dedicated to saving lives in the critical first moments of a medical emergency. He brings to EHAAT extensive experience in patient-centred care, organisational growth, and strategic leadership.

At St Helena, Jarman-Howe led a team of around 500 staff and 900 volunteers, strengthening clinical services, income generation, and community engagement.

Jarman-Howe said: “I am delighted, and feel very privileged, to be joining such a well-loved and important regional charity. EHAAT has a strong reputation for clinical excellence, innovation and patient care, and I am energized by the opportunity to lead it into its next chapter. My focus will be on turning our ambitious vision into reality – building on our strengths, driving new developments, and ensuring we reach and help even more people when they need us most.”
