Flightcell receives Aviation New Zealand award
Airborne integrated mobile communications provider Flightcell International Ltd has won Aviation New Zealand’s ‘Supreme Company Award’, which recognises the outstanding performance and contribution to the growth of the aviation industry
This is not the first time that Flightcell has been recognised by Aviation New Zealand. In 2016, the company was presented with the Richard Pearse Trophy for the ‘Excellence in Innovation Award’.
Lloyd Matheson, President of Aviation New Zealand, said: “This company has been in business for over 20 years. It has deliberately focused on high-quality hardware and application firmware. This differentiates it from the competition ... its customers read like an aviation who’s who … some of [Flightcell’s] new technology has been industry and world firsts. Many operational and safety benefits have been delivered to customers. And in today’s global economy, manufacturing and support services remain in New Zealand.”
John Wyllie, Founder and CEO of Flightcell International, was thrilled to receive the award, as he was in 2016, and he acknowledged the support provided by the New Zealand aviation community.
