Flightcell unveils SmartHUB flight data solution
Flightcell International has unveiled its SmartHUB flight data solution which offers conventional flight data recording across a range of parameters, alongside HD video and audio
Deliveries of the combined flight data monitor and flight optimization tool are expected to begin from May.
Monitoring parameters such as GPS position data, altitude and speed, pressure altitude, vertical rate, turn rate, pitch, roll, and g-force. It can also detect impacts and can be configured to log specific flight exceedances.
Flightcell says the SmartHUB features an access point for USB/IP devices and can be installed cheaply and easily in even the smallest aircraft with relatively minor changes, providing a ‘virtually plug and play recording capability’.
The SmartHUB can also be used as a flight optimization tool, enabling operators, maintainers and flight crews to review human and aircraft performance, and monitor operations for efficiency and safety.
SmartHUB also offers integration with a proprietary Flightcell SmartHUB app where recordings can be viewed and analyzed post-flight, as well as the ability to connect up to two USB-powered 1080p high definition Flightcell Camera (future updates will enable up to three cameras), and the Flightcell DZMx satcom.
“Our new SmartHUB is the perfect tool to meet increasing requirements we are observing globally for mandatory cockpit recording, especially for government and public sector rotorcraft operators,” said John Wyllie, Flightcell CEO.
