Fox Flight flies to new heights
Canada’s Fox Flight Air Ambulance, which specializes in international medical repatriation services, has welcomed a third Learjet 40XR to its fleet.
The plane features a custom-fitted medical interior and state-of-the-art avionics. Katrina Rankine, Fox Flight’s Chief Pilot and Director of Operations, said that the pilots are already enjoying the benefits of the 40XR.
David Fox, President, told AirMed&Rescue that the addition of this plane to the fleet of two others already in service marks the completion of the firm’s overhaul: “Just over a year ago, we made a decision to update our aircraft and move on from our old Lear 35s and Lear 36. After researching our options, we determined that the best aircraft for us was the Lear 40XR. The longer fuselage has room for a washroom and extra baggage, which means more comfort and convenience for the patient, their companions and our crew. Plus the taller and wider cabin makes it easier for the medical crew to load and unload the patient and provide in-flight care.”
