Getac launches new tablet for public safety agencies

Getac has debuted a new rugged tablet specifically designed for public safety agencies.

Defence electric products manufacturer Getac has debuted a new rugged tablet specifically designed for public safety agencies.

The K120 fully rugged tablet is equipped with an eighth generation Intel Core i7/i5 processor and a wide range of connectivity options including GPS, 4G LTE, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The large 12.5 inch multi-touch screen is designed to make the device easier to use in the field, while several security options keep the device secure. It is robust enough for the use of public safety services, meeting MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461G military durability standards in addition to IP65 water and dust resistance.

“Getac’s K120 fully rugged tablet is designed to provide public safety personnel with a powerful, compact MDT that seamlessly combines video, voice and electronic data communication, for fast access to critical intelligence in the field,” commented Rick Hwang, President of Rugged Business Unit at Getac Technology Corporation.

The K120 also features swappable batteries and several extra options which can allow it to be securely fastened in a vehicle or used as a conventional office computer.
