Ghana orders four Airbus helicopters
The order includes two multi-mission H175s, which will be used for a range of special missions operations
The government of Ghana has awarded a contract to Airbus for the supply of four helicopters to the country’s Ministry of Defence. The order includes two H175Ms, one ACH175, and one ACH160.
The two H175Ms will be used for a range of multi-mission operations, including transport, search and rescue (SAR), emergency medical services (EMS), and disaster relief. The other two rotorcraft will be used solely for transport.
“The commitment from Ghana marks the return of Airbus Helicopters to the country with a defined focus on customer support and partnership,” said Arnaud Montalvo, Head of Africa and Middle East Region for Airbus Helicopters. “We are particularly excited that the H175M will be operated in Ghana, demonstrating the aircraft’s versatility across defense and security missions.”
Spain’s Ministry of Defense recently placed an order for 100 Airbus helicopters.
