Air ambulance provider Global Medical Response (GMR) has acquired a new Bell ‎‎407GXi.‎

The helicopter offers cruise speeds of 246km/h, with a range of 624km, and will be ‎used to further expand GMR’s air medical coverage.‎

The rotorcraft is the first of a series of 24 deliveries from manufacturer Bell Textron ‎under a contract signed in November 2024. The contract included an initial order of 15 ‎aircraft, with the option to purchase an additional nine.‎

‎“The addition of the Bell 407GXi to our fleet will enable our teams to continue to reach ‎patients who need us and provide the critical care we’re known for – from urban centers ‎to rural communities and even disaster zones,” said Daniel Sweeza, National President ‎of Air Operations for GMR. ‎

GMR was also recently confirmed as one of the launch operators for Airbus’s new H140 ‎helicopter.‎
