HALO-Flight becomes first US HEMS operator to implement GPMS HUMS
The installation was completed by Arrow Aviation, a GPMS Certified Installer
GPMS International has announced the successful first installation of its Foresight MX health and usage monitoring system (HUMS) on HALO-Flight’s Bell 407GXi.
“We are proud to support HALO-Flight as the first helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) operator to integrate Foresight MX into their operations,” said John Byus, Director of Sales at GPMS.
“In lifesaving missions where every second counts, ensuring aircraft availability and reliability is critical. HALO-Flight’s decision to adopt Foresight MX underscores their unwavering commitment to the safety of their crews and the communities they serve.”
Serving the south Texas region, HALO-Flight recently enhanced its fleet with Bell 407GXi helicopters, incorporating the latest technology, including instrument flight rules (IFR) capability to enhance operational safety.
The addition of Foresight MX further strengthens this modernization effort, delivering real-time aircraft monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities.
Travis Patterson, CEO of HALO-Flight, added: “Implementing Foresight MX allows us to take a proactive approach to maintenance, reducing unscheduled downtime and ensuring our aircraft are always ready to respond. This investment is not just about technology – it’s about ensuring we can continue to serve our south Texas community with the highest level of reliability and care.”
Last year GPMS International announced it would be providing a HUMS solution for PJ Helicopters.
