Kona Community Hospital and Hawaii Life Flight have renewed their five-year preferred provider agreement, which confirms the hospital will call Hawaii Life Flight first for all air medical patient transports that fall within the scope of the air medical provider’s services.

“Hawaii Life Flight is honoured to partner with Kona Community Hospital to serve the needs of its patients and the Kona community,” said Hawaii Life Flight Program Director Mark Leggett. “We are very excited to continue working with the hospital's Chief Executive Officer Jay Kreuzer, and his team, to provide safe, compassionate and efficient solutions to medical transportation needs both in Kona and throughout the Hawaiian Islands,” Leggett added.

“Daily, Hawaii Life Flight crews work with our hospital teams to provide dedicated 24/7 emergency air transport to our patients. The Kona Community Hospital / Hawaii Life Flight partnership, launched in 2014, has been a time saver and a life saver for our rural community,” said Kona Community Hospital CEO Jay Kruezer.

Hawaii Life Flight has provided a dedicated EC-135 twin engine helicopter branded with the Kona Community Hospital logo and based at the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport.
