Heli-One to provide RNoAF maintenance

Heli-One personnel from its Stavanger facility will work with Leonardo staff to provide line maintenance, with the aim of ‘increasing the amount of trained personnel available to support the new fleet’.

Our team has decades of experience in maintaining North Sea-based helicopters and are honoured to bring that expertise to supporting this fleet, which provides such a critical service,” said Carolyn Forsyth, General Manager of Sales, Commercial and Customer Support at Heli-One.

Norway currently has 13 Queen helicopters in operation across the country, based in Sola, Ørland, Banak and Bodø, having introduced the first aircraft of this type into service in 2020. The fleet is primarily used to conduct search and rescue operations, as well as emergency transportation.

The contract to supply the aircraft, then valued at €1.15 billion, was awarded to Leonardo in December 2013.

Heli-One also recently provided support to CHC’s Norwegian operations in in Svalbard.
