The helicopters will be used by Helicarrier to assist with aerial firefighting, logging, aerial construction, and heavy supply transportation

Helicarrier has acquired two Model 234 UT Chinooks from Columbia Helicopters, to support its aerial operations across a number of roles.

This includes aerial firefighting, logging, aerial construction, and heavy supply transportation.

The helicopters are due for delivery by the fourth quarter of 2025. Under the terms of the contract, Columbia Helicopters will also provide “comprehensive support” to Helicarrier, to ensure the smooth integration of the new aircraft.

“The addition of the Model 234 UT helicopters significantly enhances our capabilities,” said Fred Carrier, CEO of Helicarrier. “We’re excited to work with Columbia Helicopters and benefit from their extensive expertise as we continue to expand our operations in key sectors.”

Columbia Helicopters recently won a contract to support firefighting operations in Turkey.
