Helicopter crew training offered by RotorSky GmbH and NCCH
Norwegian Competence Centre Helicopter AS (NCCH) and Austrian helicopter flight school RotorSky have announced their partnership and intention to offer the new training
NCCH operates H145 D2 (BK117 D2) and, as of October, the H135 T3 (EC135 T3H) full flight simulators (FFS) at FSTD standard Level D, including step two and three of Helionix®. In addition, these FFS, designed and manufactured by Reiser Simulation and Training GmbH, feature a third crewmember station to enable crew co-ordination training for all crewmembers’ training tasks.
Training solutions
“Merging the competencies of NCCH and RotorSky was a logical way forward to provide full training solutions at highest standards to the market,” commented Dr Michael Mayrhofer, NCCH CEO. All approved training manuals for the H145 and H135 were written by senior training experts and are focusing on building up and developing pilot and crew competencies.
Christian Gruber, CEO of RotorSky, said: “Our instructors are highly motivated and focused on excellent training delivery – many of the instructors have both military and civilian backgrounds, as well as many years of experience in flying and teaching.”
Simulation solutions
Currently, RotorSky operates from four bases in Europe, with one to be added in the US soon. RotorSky operates 23 helicopters of 11 different types:
- Sikorsky S-300, S-76B
- Bell 206
- Leonardo AW139, AW169
- Airbus BK117, BO105, H120, H125, H135, H145
Located at Stavanger Airport, NCCH operates modern full flight simulators to enable top-of-the-edge helicopter pilot and crewmember training for various mission profiles ranging from HEMS, law enforcement, and VIP services to offshore applications.
