HSI has equipped the Dallas Police Department’s new H125 with upgraded avionics and mission systems for law enforcement operations

Helicopter completion and maintenance provider Helicopter Services, Inc (HSI), based in Spring, Texas, is customizing a new Airbus H125 for the Dallas Police Department’s airborne law enforcement unit.

The project includes the installation of mission-specific equipment and avionics upgrades designed to enhance operational capability. HSI has integrated a Garmin GFC 600 autopilot system with GTN 650 and GTN 750 displays, alongside a range of mission systems including a WESCAM MX-10 imaging system, Shotover ARS-750 mapping system, Avalex/Mercury digital video recorder, Technisonic TDFM-9000 radios, TrakkaBeam searchlight, REBTECH NVIS-compatible cockpit, Geneva pedestal console, RSG air conditioning, and an Onboard Systems cargo hook swing kit.

HSI specializes in helicopter completions and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services from its 25,000ft2 facility at David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport, near Houston, supporting platforms from Airbus, Bell, MD Helicopters, Enstrom, and other manufacturers. The company provides dedicated sheet metal, composite, and avionics capabilities for special mission and other rotorcraft operators.

The Dallas Police Department joins a customer base that includes law enforcement, air medical, and public safety operators across the USA.

HSI recently announced the purchase of three H125s.
