HeliOperations to begin construction of new facilities
The new facilities will include a dedicated hangar, office space, and indoor training areas
UK-based training provider HeliOperations has announced plans to begin construction of a new purpose-built hangar at its base on the Isle of Portland in Dorset.
The company, which provides helicopter-based training for search and rescue (SAR) and maritime aviation to both military and civilian clients, said that the new hangar represents a “significant investment in our infrastructure and long-term capability”.
Alongside the hangar itself, the new building will feature dedicated office space, and advanced training areas designed to support both its current and future operations.
The company stated that the expansion of its facilities coincided with its acquisition of new AW139 helicopters, which it said would “play a key role in our international training programs and operational deployments”.
Atlantic Airways opened a new training center in Vágar in the Faroe Islands earlier this year.
