HeliSpeed Academy to provide helicopter instructor training to Hongik Air pilots

The agreement will see training provided on the Bell 206 helicopter

HeliSpeed Academy, a provider of helicopter pilot training services, has announced the signing of a strategic training agreement with Hongik Air South Korea, a helicopter operator and training provider in Asia.

Under this agreement, HeliSpeed Academy will provide Bell 206 helicopter instructor training to Hongik Air pilots, ensuring safety and proficiency in helicopter operations.

The Bell 206 series is widely used for various missions, including firefighting, training, utility, and corporate transport in South Korea.

“We are thrilled to partner with Hongik Air South Korea in this training endeavor,” said Gemma Walker, Operations Director at HeliSpeed Academy. “This collaboration not only underscores our dedication to advancing helicopter pilot training globally and also strengthens international ties within the aviation network for training. Hongik Air South Korea has a great reputation in Asia, and we are confident that our training programs will further enhance their capabilities and safety standards in line with their growth plans.”

Woojeong Kang, a spokesperson from Hongik Air South Korea, added: “Our partnership with HeliSpeed Academy will enable us to elevate our training standards and enhance the proficiency of our instructors. We believe that this collaboration will contribute significantly to the development of the helicopter industry in our region and ensure the highest level of safety for our operations.”
