Helitak opens new firefighting equipment production facility in California

Once a service center and parts distribution hub for Helitak Fire Fighting Equipment’s North American clients, the facility will now begin manufacturing the UH-60 Fire Tank model FT4500. This expansion comes in response to growing demand for the FT4500, which has been widely adopted by commercial operators around the globe.

Jason Schellaars, CEO of Helitak, commented: “As wildfires continue to pose an increasing threat across the globe, the demand for our innovative firefighting solutions has grown exponentially.

“Opening this second production facility in Camarillo is a demonstration of our commitment to excellence and further supporting North American operators.”

The Helitak FT4500 tank, designed for use with the Sikorsky UH-60 series, is commonly used by commercial operators. It is known for its large capacity, quick deployment, and reliable performance in wildfire response. The tank is effective at delivering significant amounts of water or fire retardant to key areas, making it an asset during fire emergencies.

The manufacturer also recently announced the launch of its latest range of buckets known as Aerial Strike.
