HEMS captain dies in Spain
Florentino Sanchez, a captain with the Bristow HEMS base in Ciudad Real, Spain, has died from Coronavirus
The company issued the following statement: “Angel Rodero, CEO Spain, informed the Aviation Board that Florentino Sanchez had died. Angel has been keeping us informed since Florentino first contracted the virus. Florentino had been working with us for over 12 years, carrying out numerous flights with the utmost professionalism and commitment to the service. He was 56 years old and leaves a wife and daughter.
We are operating in extraordinary and unprecedented times. As a frontline emergency services provider across Spain, Italy, France, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the UK and Canada, we must continue to support our governments and national health services. These critical services will continue and the risk remains.”
