High exhibitor demand for Farnborough Airshow
The organizers of Farnborough International Airshow have reported record demand from the global aerospace industry for the show’s 2024 edition
Farnborough International reported that over 90 per cent of commercial exhibition spaces and chalets for the event have already been reserved and sold across the show site, ‘with only a handful of self-build stands remaining across the show’s four exhibition halls’.
They added that in response to this ‘exceptional demand’, they are constructing an additional 17 chalets. Over half of these new chalets have already been sold.
The 2024 Farnborough International Airshow will be held on 22–26 July of next year at Farnborough Airport in southern England.
Gareth Rogers, CEO of Farnborough International, explained that while the airshow’s previous edition in 2022 ‘signified the revival of the aerospace, defense, and space industries … since then we have seen the aerospace industry accelerate partnerships and sustainable strategies’.
Farnborough International noted that the record bookings reflected the positive outlook of the aerospace industry as a whole – which is expected to record year-on-year commercial revenues of 14 per cent this year.
While no airshow was held in Farnborough this year, the town did play host to the Sustainable Skies World Summit.
