HIOWAA extends partnership with Babcock
Alongside providing aircraft, crew, and support services, Babcock will help the English air ambulance charity transition to its new base near Southampton
Helicopter operator Babcock has been awarded a four-year contract extension by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA).
The extension will see Babcock continue to serve as the helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) charity’s aviation partner into the future.
This includes providing HIOWAA with a Airbus H135 helicopter equipped with night vision imaging systems (NVIS), crew, and comprehensive maintenance, aircraft safety and compliance support.
The contract will also see Babcock support HIOWAA through its relocation to a new base of operations near Southampton Airport.
“As HIOWAA transitions to a new location, we’re working closely with them to ensure continuity of service and enhanced operational readiness,” said Chloe Barker, Managing Director for Babcock’s UK Aviation business. “We’re honored to continue supporting HIOWAA in their vital mission.”
Babcock was also recently awarded a new contract by the Australian Border Force.
