Hoist rescue symposium to be held in Germany
German air rescue service DRF Luftrettung will host the first HHO Symposium from 2-3 September 2021 at the Operation-Center at Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden Airport, Germany
International experts will discuss topics regarding safety, quality standards, and innovation in hoist operation to address questions including how safety can be increased in hoist rescue, hich new developments will characterize the market, and how crews and patients benefit can profit from new rescue tips and techniques?
The event has been established as an expert platform for helicopter hoist operators in Europe to ensure a safe hoist operation for patients not only in rough or alpine terrain but also regarding offshore-rescue.
In addition to the symposium`s program, DRF Luftrettung, which operates eight helicopters with rescue winches within DRF-Group, will demonstrate a hoist rescue routine.
AirMed&Rescue investigated the ways in which special missions operators can train their teams to be ready for the helicopter hoist rescue scenarios they are going to face, whether from land or sea.
