ISOVAC has delivered the unit, which is the only one in the region, to the Italian Red Cross Committee of Benevento, by the Banca del Credito Cooperativo di San Marco dei Cavoti

It is the only class one device, which can also be used onboard air medical helicopters, supplied throughout the region, and one of the few on the national one. It is, therefore, a vital piece of equipment in the armory of personal protective equipment during the pandemic.

The president of the Samnite association Giovanni De Michele stressed that this is not a simple litter, but an airtight, negative pressure envelope, complete with sophisticated filters in and out and sealed access routes for the treatment of the patient. Fundamental devices for the containment of the virus. The President of the BCC, Luigi Zollo, said he was very satisfied: “In this way we will be able to ensure that health workers are not infected. We are very happy to have made this donation.”

President De Michele said: “This is another piece of a puzzle in these months of fighting the virus with this biocontainment unit. It is an instrument that allows the patient to be in perfect safety and allows the healthcare professionals themselves to be protected. From the beginning of the pandemic, we immediately equipped ourselves with those individual safety devices, from suits, to gloves, to shoes. Today, with this equipment, we will be able to transport patients without any kind of slowdown.”
