Jet ICU begins work on new headquarters
The new complex at Tampa International Airport will have space for 10 fixed-wing aircraft
Florida-based air medical evacuation (medevac) firm Jet ICU has begun construction of its new $10.5 million headquarters at Tampa International Airport.
The air ambulance company broke ground on 11 December, and the 32,500ft2 complex – which includes a new office complex and hangar – is due for completion in 2024.
The complex will serve as the central hub for Jet ICU’s operations as it continues to expand its business.
The hangar will be able to accommodate 10 air ambulance aircraft – Jet ICU operates a fixed-wing fleet of Bombardier Learjet 60s and 35As capable of international transfers.
Elsewhere in Florida, the local government of Monroe County placed an order for three AW139 air ambulance helicopters in October.
