Kasi Healthcare orders two Airbus H135s
The helicopters will be used by Kasi Healthcare to provide air ambulance services across Nigeria
Healthcare provider Kasi Healthcare has partnered with Airbus to operate helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) in Nigeria.
The agreement will support the procurement of two Airbus H135s to support operations in HEMS configuration, and is intended to strengthen Nigeria’s emergency healthcare infrastructure.
Alongside the acquisition, Airbus Helicopters will provide “comprehensive support” to build local capacity, with a focus on “HEMS flight crew training and pilot development, as well as aircraft engineer training and technical capability-building”.
Airbus will also provide maintenance support infrastructure and operational support for the two aircraft.
“We are incredibly proud to pioneer the introduction of the HEMS-configured Airbus H135 in Nigeria,” said Dr Dayo Osholowu, Medical Director at KASI Healthcare. “This strategic investment transforms our ability to provide rapid, lifesaving patient transfers and critical care in transit.”
The Romanian government ordered 12 Airbus H160 and H145 helicopters for emergency and security missions earlier this month.
