Kawasaki receives helicopter order from Japanese police
The Japanese National Police Agency has placed an order for two H145/BK117 D-3 helicopters from Kawasaki Heavy Industries
The aircraft are the third and fourth of that type to be ordered by the agency, and will be delivered in March 2025.
The D-3 has capacity for 10 people in standard interior configuration, and is capable of maximum speeds of 263km/h, with a range of 723km.
It comes fitted with a range of avionics, including autopilot, GPS map display and helicopter terrain awareness warning system (HTAWS) systems.
Mitsui Bussan Aerospace, Leonardo’s authorized distributor for the AW139 in Japan, also announced that it had recently signed contracts to supply six aircraft.
