Kopter is continuing flight testing on its P3 version of the SH09 helicopter.

Kopter’s EVP Technology and Flight Operations Michele Riccobono offered an update on the last two months of flight testing the third prototype of the company’s SH09 helicopter. The total flight test experience of the aircraft is now almost 100 flight test hours.

Sicily offers a great location for flight testing due to the good weather, but also the hot temperatures and high humidity, combined with the possibilities of strong winds and a salty atmosphere, all of which are common operating environments for the target customers of the SH09.
